Chef Jemma Wilson's Violet Beauregarde Blueberry Bubble Bombes

The 50th anniversary celebrations continue for Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this July with Willy Wonka's Just Desserts and more...

We're a few months into the 50th aniversary celebrations for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and there's still so much fun to be had...

This month sees the launch of Wonka's Just Desserts, a selection of delectable recipes created by some wonderful Penguin Random House chefs inspired by, you guessed it, that incomparable chocolatier Mr Willy Wonka.

Kicking off the Just Desserts campaign we have 'Cupcake' Jemma Wilson and her recipe for Violet Beauregarde Blueberry Bubble Bombes. Find out more about what inspired this tasty treat and download your own recipe card here.

Also this month, the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre have a great range of Charlie activities for any UK parents planning a weekend visit, from Golden Ticket trails to a series of events dedicated to Little Miss Veruca Salt. And no Golden Ticket needed to get past the Museum's Wonka gates - you'll find all the details here.

Speaking of Golden Tickets - for our US readers, time is running out to enter the National Golden Ticket Sweepstakes. This month is your last chance to get your entries in for the chance to win a delicious selection of prizes including a trip to New York City and more treats courtesy of Dylan's Candy Bar and Penguin Random House. Find all the details here [note, this competition is only visible to US readers.]

And wherever you are in the world you can join in the Charlie fun by throwing your very own Chocolate Factory-themed party and entering our Facebook competition to share the cover YOU had as a child.

So what are you waiting for? Let's get this party started...
