Ever wanted to know what it would be like step inside Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and meet an Oompa Loompa? Well, thanks to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity – you can!
For the first time ever, fans of all ages can enjoy an afternoon of songs and silliness by attending a special one-off Singalonga screening of cult classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starring the legendary Gene Wilder.
Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity is delighted to announce special guest Rusty Goffe, one of the film’s original ten Oompa-Loompas, will be joining the celebrations at London's Prince Charles Cinema on Sunday 29th June at 1pm.
Rusty (pictured bottom left with Gene Wilder), who has since worked on movies from Star Wars to Harry Potter says, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was the first film I worked on, and remains a firm favourite of mine. I’m really looking forward to sharing my favourite behind-the-scenes memories to help raise funds for charity.”
This is a special one-off charity event to help celebrate 50 whipple-scrumptious years of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and raise vital funds for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity. But if you can't get to the event in London, Rusty will be hosting a takeover on Twitter and appearing here as our first guest blogger in the coming weeks, to share his memories of being part of this iconic film.
Hurry! Tickets for this event are limited and disappearing faster than Veruca Salt down the rubbish chute.
