The photo below was shared with us on Facebook by Joyce Chong, aged 36, from Hong Kong, China. She says "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has been my favourite book since childhood. Sadly I lost my precious Chinese copies long ago, these were from Brest, France, 1998."
This next photo (below) was shared with us on Facebook by Yi-Peng Li, who has a wonderful collection of Charlie books and merchandise. He says: "I know that this is only a recent cover but I am much older than that. I rather like the spirited Quentin Blake drawings for this story...."
Greg Martinez shared this photo (below) with us on Facebook, of the copy he read as a child. He's pictured with his girlfriend Talia Piloto. Greg says: "I recently read it with my girlfriend who had never read it before. (Though, she had seen both movies!)"
Kylie, aged 37 years old from Adelaide, Australia, shared her photo with us (below) on Facebook. She says: "I've had my copy since I was 9. It was the second Roald Dahl book I read after The Witches! I still love all his books, but I still have a special spot for Charlie!"
Anna Barr, 45, from Tring, Hertfordshire, UK shared her childhood copy (below) with us on Facebook. She says: "I was 6 when I was first read this book by my teacher... Mrs.Standen. I loved it then and it is still my favourite childrens book. Pure magic. Thank you Mr Dahl."
