Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity have created three easy steps to getting that warm, fuzzy feeling inside this Christmas.
Step 1: Put on your favourite woolly jumper
Step 2: Eat lots of mince pies
Step 3: Be a marvellous friend
While you’re settling down to your festive food and drinks, our Roald Dahl children’s nurses will be busy looking after seriously ill children and their families across the UK. This Christmas we are asking you to be a marvellous friend and give a nursing hour.
For the thousands of seriously ill children in the UK who have a rare or undiagnosed medical condition, an hour can be filled with tests and treatments, fear and uncertainty but a Roald Dahl nurse can help that family through the difficult time.
It costs us £29 to fund a nurse for an hour.
Whether you can spare the whole £29 or just a part of it, there are lots of ways to give.
Give as you live is an online shopping website that gives money to a charity of your choice every time you make a purchase at no extra cost to you. So just by doing your normal Christmas shopping you could be raising money to help seriously ill children brave the unknown. Pretty great right?
And if you happen to have a few spare pennies at the bottom of your piggy bank – why not take part in Giving Tuesday and give the full £29? Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving this year taking place on 1 December. After Black Friday and Cyber Monday it’s a chance to show the world why it’s good to give.

Whatever you decide to do and however you decide to give – we just want to say; thank you and Merry Christmas.
