Revolting Rhymes

The moment you’ve all been waiting for has arrived!

Dear Revolting Rhymers,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts - and from the hearts of our bottoms.

Our heartfelt thanks to you all for sending in your brilliant revolting rhymes. A veritable deluge of revoltingness! The entries were feats of tastelessness and gruesome imagination - some very unpleasant to read - which was exactly what we wanted!

The winning rhymes took us on spectacularly surreal and repulsive journeys. There were unexpected twists galore! Laughing and recoiling in equal measure, we heard of Violet Beauregarde’s musical bottom and her accidental trip past the moon! In another, Grandma was turned into a furry pet! We found ourselves at the cinema with the BFG - an unnatural fit to say the least. Elsewhere, we came across a giant whale, and Matilda - wearing flippers and knickers - in the middle of the ocean.

Of course, we also had to pick winners from the hundreds (some say thousands) of entries dedicated to one particular topic: the impressive dimensions of the BFG’s bodily waste! We believe that the two rhymes we selected do justice to this compelling sub-genre. And finally, in one of the most shocking rhymes we’ve ever read, we witnessed Mr. Twit take a bath. We don’t dare tell you what happened next - you’ll have to read it for yourself!

Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for…
