It has been a gloriumptious few weeks for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity thanks to our marvellous corporate partners.
Last year, we were delighted to be the Charity of the Year for 82 Busy Bees Nurseries in South East England and we're celebrating the end of our partnership. The nurseries organised a variety of fundraising activities including bungee jumps and entering an entire team of staff into the British 10k. Everyone’s enthusiastic efforts at Busy Bees raised an astounding £33,534.51.
We also celebrate the first six months of our Charity of the Year partnership with Dunelm, who have embraced multiple fundraising challenges with gloriumptious gusto! They have raised a tip-toppling £105,000 for the charity so far! They have also asked us to nominate seriously ill children and their families for their Random Acts of Kindness awards. We are delighted to announce that nine families have been chosen to receive a £100 voucher each, to spend in any Dunelm store, and one child is the lucky recipient of a number of items to create a fabulous, football themed bedroom make-over!
What's more, we are extremely excited to have been adopted as charity partner for Explore Learning, providers of maths and English tuition for children aged 5-14 at centres based in England, Scotland and Wales.
Rob Hicks, Managing Director at Explore Learning has expressed his excitement about the new partnership: “We work with children on a daily basis in an effort to make their childhoods more rewarding, so the charity seemed to be the perfect fit. It is a wonderful cause, with a real, tangible impact on young lives, and we are determined to raise as much money as possible, while having great fun. We are thrilled to be associated with the charity.”
The partnership was launched this month and we look forward to working together on a number of fundraising ideas and partnership opportunities in the year to come.
