Schools and groups across the UK have raised more than £100,000 for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.
The Dahlicious Dress Up Day, where schools and groups across the globe dress up, hold a party, donate £1 and celebrate Roald Dahl has raised over £100,000 for seriously ill children in the UK.
With the marvellous money raised, our Roald Dahl specialist children's nurses can help more children like Sam who has epilepsy. Sam's Roald Dahl nurse Lilly provides expert care and gives advice, information and support to Sam and his family.
Thousands of schools signed up to celebrate the world's number one storyteller and many hosted a special event at school or in their local library.
Dressing up as their favourite Roald Dahl character, from Matilda to The BFG, Willy Wonka and The Enormous Crocodile, children have had lots of fun getting into the spirit of the celebrations. Teachers have had a marvellous time too and have been able to access lots of teaching resources to ensure they have everything they need to host a Dahlicious Dress Up Day.
Schools and groups have been paying in their donations and many more are planning on holding a party on a future date, for World Book Day or as a great way to kick-off a new school term and ignite chiddlers love of reading. You can still have fun and get dressed up all Dahlicious by hosting your very own party. Find out more.
