James's Peachy Summer at the Roald Dahl Museum

Celebrate all things James and the Giant Peach at the Roald Dahl Museum this summer.

Saturday 20 July to Sunday 1 September

The Roald Dahl Museum’s Peachy Summer is set to be a delight of giant proportions. Find out about James and the Giant Peach, Roald Dahl’s first classic story for children, and join in with workshops and activities with a wonderfully peachy twist.

Peachy workshops

We've got a whole host of wonderful workshops for all the family to join in with...

  • Enjoy craft workshops and make a 3D bug model or an insect portrait.
  • Book on to the Whizzbanging Words workshop and discover how Roald Dahl wrote James and the Giant Peach.
  • Meet amazing authors who’ll read you extracts from their books and give you some tip-top writing and drawing tips.
  • Come face-to-face with some insect specimens from the Natural History Museum.
  • Stretch your legs and discover some of the sights that inspired Roald Dahl on a guided Village Trail or Countryside Trail and head off from the Museum to explore.

Excited about the above? See our what's on pages for July events and August events.
