Your gift can help provide the best possible healthcare for seriously ill children cared for by the Roald Dahl Clinical Nurse who specialises in Paediatric Haematology at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital NHS Trust.
This year we're creating a new specialist nurse post to support children and young people from across Bedfordshire living with serious blood conditions such as sickle cell, thalassaemia and haemophilia.
The Roald Dahl clinical nurse specialist will help to support children and their families to manage their condition at home, helping to avoid painful crises and emergency hospital admissions. A Roald Dahl nurse is a shoulder to cry on, an educator, a translator of medical jargon and, for many families, a lifeline.
With your help we can make sure that families in the region have the care and support they need. Watch the video to see what life with Sickle Cell is like for Taye and Tyrell.
There are so many ways to get involved and help make this nurse a reality.

Whether you are celebrating a wedding, birthday, anniversary or just need an excuse to eat cake, you can fundraise while you celebrate. Take to the skies for a skydiving adventure or, if you'd rather keep your feet on the ground, grab your trainers and get running. There are lots of events you can be sponsored to take part in, from the Luton Half Marathon to the Woburn Abbey Triathlon, and you can watch your fitness levels and your fundraising total soar.
