The Big Friendly Giant (The BFG)

Long trousers (green or grey are ideal), shirt, waistcoat. Plus download our guide to making a pair of giant ears.

Matilda Wormwood (Matilda)

Blue dress (actually any dress will do!), hairband and a pile of books.

Charlie Bucket (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

Old clothes such as a jacket and some scruffy trousers.  Don't forget to make a golden ticket  - you can colour in or paint any piece of paper or card.  Find out more about Charlie Bucket.

George Kranky (George's Marvellous Medicine)

Red T-shirt or jumper and jeans. Find a giant bottle and put a home made 'medicine' label on it. (An empty bottle is probably best for school!). Don't forget a spoon or ladle.

Mrs Twit (The Twits)

Scruffy clothes, messy hair and a long warty nose (download our guide to making your Mrs Twit nose!).

Sophie (The BFG)

Pink dress (or a nightie) and glasses

Miss Spider (James and the Giant Peach)

Black top and black leggings or trousers, stuff a couple of pairs of black tights with newspaper to create extra spider legs and drape around the neck or attach to a belt.

Yummy Yellow

Don't forget, yellow was Roald Dahl's favourite colour so you can join in the Dahlicious Dress Up Day by wearing anything yellow.
