The Dahlicious Dress Up Day

26th September 2014

The Dahlicious Dress Up Day is a fun-filled fancy dress day in aid of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity. Children are invited to donate £1 to come to school dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character.

It is very easy to get your school involved. It's also great way to begin the school term, engage children's imaginations and ignite their passion for reading.

Register now to receive your fundraising pack. You'll receive a step-by-step guide to running your event, posters, stickers and an information leaflet about the charity.

There are also lots of resources for parents about creating costumes, including our 'Marvellous Costume Make' competition, and to also help teachers with classroom activities on the day.  Use the links on the right hand side of this page for everything you will need to have a marvellous day.

The money raised by schools taking part in the Dahlicious Dress Up Day enables Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity to continue helping seriously ill children around the UK.  You can show our short film to your class to help them learn more about how the money they raise helps other children.

FAQ's

Can we take part on a different day?

The official Dahlicious Dress Up Day is Friday 26th September 2014 but your school can hold one whenever is convenient for you.

Can we have more stickers and posters?

Your fundraising pack contains stickers and a poster, but if you require more you can order additional resources here.

Do we have to raise money for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity?

The Dahlicious Dress Up Day is a fundraising event, and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity spends time and money to produce the resources to support the day. We would ask that if you want to use these resources, please do so to raise money for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity so that we can continue supporting the seriously ill and disabled children who need our help.

How do I pay in the money raised?
