Our marvellous specialist children's nurses
We provide Roald Dahl specialist children's nurses and allied health professionals.
Our Roald Dahl specialist children’s nurses provide support, information and practical care for seriously ill and disabled children across the UK. Roald Dahl nurses support the whole family too.
Roald Dahl nurses are highly trained, senior professionals who can 'make things happen' both within the hospital and beyond. They can advise on a whole range of medical, emotional and social issues.
Facts about our Roald Dahl nurses

Since 1991 we have created 49 healthcare professional posts around the UK:
At the moment we are funding the salary of one Roald Dahl nurse post based at:
Every single one of our remaining Roald Dahl posts continues to be funded by the NHS. This is because our Roald Dahl specialist nurses are marvellous at helping to make life better for seriously ill children.
We remain in close contact with our Roald Dahl nurses. We step in to support, protect and influence decision-makers if budget cuts threaten our vital service for children. We also offer annual training grants for all our Roald Dahl nurses.
