Our marvellous specialist children's nurses
Roald Dahl specialist children’s nurses* provide support, information and practical care for seriously ill and disabled children across the UK. Roald Dahl nurses support the whole family too.
Roald Dahl nurses are highly trained, senior professionals who can 'make things happen' both within the hospital and beyond. They can advise on a whole range of medical, emotional and social issues.
Facts about our Roald Dahl nurses
We estimate our Roald Dahl nurses help more than 10,000 seriously ill children and their families every year. They specialise in a variety of conditions including epilepsy, blood disorders and acquired brain injury.
There are currently 54 Roald Dahl specialist nurses in the UK, across Scotland, Wales and England. In 2017 we will be recruiting our first Roald Dahl nurse in Northern Ireland.
