Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust are seeking a Roald Dahl Paediatric Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide specialist care, support and information for seriously ill children affected by epilepsy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Roald Dahl Paediatric Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist to support patients and their families across both acute and community pathways, participate in teaching and education, working alongside junior staff and students as well as the community nursing team.
The role at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolich, requires the successful applicant to make a difference to the children and young people in their care. The successful applicant will be highly-skilled and act as a role model to display effective communication and interpersonal skills.
They will work within a division which aims to provide an environment conducive to the on-going development of all staff and advancements in the quality of the service, by ensuring provision of a high-standard of training, teaching and clinical care.
The successful applicant will also be able to access the Roald Dahl Professional Development Package, which will help them to develop their career and the service.
Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity has 55 Roald Dahl Specialist Children’s Nurses, 2 Paediatric Neuro-Rehab Occupational Therapists and 1 Play Specialist giving expert help to families across the UK. Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses play a critical and complex role. They work directly with the patient and family whilst providing a link between them and the consultant and the hospital.
