Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity seeks a Roald Dahl Rare Disease Nurse Specialist at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Roald Dahl Rare Disease Nurse Specialist, who will lead the way in designing a service that is at the forefront of care for children with rare diseases.
The role at Birmingham Children's Hospital requires the successful applicant to play a key role in supporting children, young people and their families, in both the hospital and the community, delivering high quality care at all times. The post-holder will have specialist clinical skills and knowledge and will offer expert advice, being a central point of contact for families, ensuring the highest possible patient experience.
The successful applicant will be eligible to access the Roald Dahl Professional Development Package, which will help them to develop their career and to develop the service. This opportunity comes during a period of exciting change at Birmingham Children's Hospital which is developing its own Rare Disease Centre and is at the forefront of national innovation in this area.
Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity has 55 Roald Dahl Specialist Children’s Nurses, 2 Paediatric Neuro-Rehab Occupational Therapists and 1 Play Specialist giving expert help to families across the UK. Roald Dahl Specialist Children’s Nurses play a critical and complex role. They work directly with the patient and family whilst providing a link between them and the consultant and the hospital.
