Roald Dahl Transition Care Community Nurse Specialist for Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity and East London NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a Roald Dahl Transition Care Community Nurse Specialist for Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Band 7 nurse, with experience caring for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and related complex health needs to work at East London NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful post holder will join the team in the Specialist Children's and Young People's Services in Newham, working across the community, providing advice and clinical support to young people aged 12 - 19 years. They will support young people who may be technology dependent, ensuring continued responsibility for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.

The successful applicant will also be able to access the Roald Dahl professional development package which will help them to develop their career and the service.  

Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity has over 70 Roald Dahl Specialist Children’s Nurses, giving expert help to approximately 21,000 families across the UK. Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses play a critical and complex role. They work directly with the patient and family whilst providing a link between them and the consultant and the hospital.
