Enjoy our galleries, as well as free drop-in craft activities every day, and free storytelling at weekends and in school holidays. Each visitor gets a wristband that allows them to come and go throughout the day of their visit.

To guarantee entry during February half-term 11 to 18 February 2017 please book in advance for workshops and general admission. We can't guarantee tickets will be available to buy on the door on the day.

Disabled visitors are entitled to the concessionary rate of £4.40. Accompanying carers are admitted free of charge.

You can buy general admission tickets online or by calling 01494 892192. You can book workshops by calling us on 01494 892192, these are currently not available to book online.

If you can't get through on our ticket line please leave a message with your name and number and we'll call you back as soon as we can. Sometimes our ticket line staff may have to help in the galleries, or will be busy responding to earlier messages. The ticket line is open Tuesday to Friday 11am to 4.30pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4.30pm.

Please note that we can't take same day bookings over the phone or online. Any remaining tickets each day will be sold on the door if available.


We often run special workshops and events at weekends and in school holidays. You can take a look at our packed events lists on the What's On pagesPlease pre-book for workshops as spaces are limited you can do this by calling 01494 892192 (NGT 18001 01494 892192) up until 4:30pm on the day before you visit subject to availability. Workshops are usually an additional cost and are not included with general admission.

You can book Museum admission only (not workshops) online by visiting our online booking pages. If you would like to book on to a workshop (additional charges apply), please call us on 01494 892192. We can add these to an existing booking, or take your Museum admission at the same time.

For general admissions and all of our activities and workshops (additional charges apply) please call 01494 892192 (NGT 18001 01494 892192). You can pay using using your credit or debit card. We can take bookings up until 4.30pm on the day before you visit subject to availability. Please note we do not take same day bookings over the phone. Booking office opening hours are Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 4.30pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 4.30pm.

Occasionally our booking line can get busy, or our ticket line staff may be called to help in the galleries. If this is the case, please leave a message with your name and number and we will call you back as soon as possible.

Buying tickets on the day of your visit

For general admissions visit the ticket desk in the Museum shop. In the event that we are very busy and have tickets available there may be a short wait for entry. Our staff will be happy to point out Cafe Twit, where you can enjoy a coffee, or provide you with a Village Trail leaflet so you can take a walk around the village while you wait.

During Buckinghamshire half-term holidays we cannot guarantee entry if you haven't booked in advance.
