On a guided trail

A family walk for all ages, exploring the charming Chilterns village of Great Missenden. See the places that inspired Roald Dahl and feature in the stories, including Danny’s dad’s petrol pumps from Danny, the Champion of the World, Sophie’s ‘norphange’ from The BFG, and Matilda’s library. Stroll up picturesque Church Street and follow the BFG footsteps to Roald Dahl’s grave. Come back to the Museum Café for a scrumdiddlyumptious cream tea with homemade scones and Bogtrotter cake!

This event is run in conjuntion with the Chilterns Heritage Festival. Please book tickets via the Chiltern Society website.

The walk is great for adults and kids. The walk will take about 45 minutes to an hour, worth bearing in mind for little legs, followed by tea and cake (or cold drinks for the kids).
