Great Missenden is a village at the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside, situated about twenty miles northwest of London, easily accessible by rail and road links.
Getting here by train
Great Missenden is served by a train service direct from London Marylebone (45 minute journey) and Aylesbury (15 minute journey). It's a quick and easy walk from the station to the Museum. Getting here by car
Great Missenden is situated just off the A413. From the M4, exit at Junction 8/9 onto the A404 towards High Wycombe. From the M40, exit at Junction 4 onto the A4128 towards High Wycombe. From the M25, exit at Junction 16 onto the M40 towards Oxford. Use the Highways Agency website to help plan your journey.
Parking
The Museum is situated on the historic High Street of Great Missenden. There is a pay and display car park on Link Road, less than five minutes' walk away at HP16 9AE; please visit the Chiltern District website for details about parking charges. Visitors may also use the station car park at HP16 9AZ; see the Chiltern Railways website for more information. If parking anywhere else in the village, please park in designated parking spaces and be aware of time restrictions.
Getting here by bus
The Arriva Bus Company runs a regular bus service between Great Missenden and High Wycombe (route 41) Monday to Saturday. Redline buses run services to Ayelsbury, Wendover, Amersham and Chesham Monday to Friday. Please check in advance for up-to-date service details. Use the Traveline South East website to help plan your journey by public transport.
Getting here by coach
Please use the nearby coach drop-off point near the Buryfield car park, entrance on Link Road as coaches are not allowed along the High Street.
Getting here by bike
